My Professor Locked the Door — Episode 2: Close the Door

Jessica reclaims her card with a cool warning: you've never seen me. What she leaves behind is an emerald earring under the stool, and Max quietly pockets it. By Monday he is half convinced she has a twin, right up until she takes the front of the room as Professor Jessica Grey, economics. When she leans over his desk with the handouts, Daisy, the blonde always seated beside him, catches a look he has never once given her.

'Eyes on the board,' Jessica orders, yet she can't stop watching him either. So he knocks on her office door. 'Last chance to walk away.' 'Close the door.' She insists Friday never happened, and he answers by setting the earring on her desk. He braces to be thrown out. Instead, in the final beat of Episode 2, he tries the handle and finds it locked.
